The Reciter of the Quran: A person who applies himself to reciting and studying the Quran and who applies himself to memorizing it. He rises in the ranks of Paradise according to his memorization of the Quran. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It will be said to the reader of the Quran: Recite and ascend (in ranks) as you used to recite when you were in the world. Your rank will be at the last Ayah you recite"
